post 3 - all alone in the woods

When Hansel and Gretel tell a tale of being left in the woods, and begin to reveal that their mum died, they feel some difficult feelings we are showing with a black post. Take a look at the picture of them alone in the woods.

Now take a look at the list of example feelings below in the word cloud which shows all the different emotions a young person may experience when they feel alone, like when a loved one dies. Zoom in to the image to look at the feelings in more detail.

Which feeling means the most to you?

These are all included in Grief Encounter’s Griefbook, a unique resource for bereaved children which offers a space to interactively explore memories, emotions and challenges but also allows children to revisit them as they move forward carrying their loss with them.

Follow the path to the next post and let’s see how Hansel & Gretel cope with their feelings…
