It’s back!… Our amazing annual fundraiser, the Forget-Me-Not Walk, returns for 2023 on March 26th, and we’re asking YOU to join us! This year, we are asking you to walk with us to remember someone close who has died. You can walk alone, with friends, family or colleagues, anywhere, anytime and at your own pace – and don’t forget to get your furry friends involved and bring the dog along.
It couldn’t be easier to register, just visit www.griefencounter.org.uk/fmnw and sign up, then create a JustGiving page so you can start your fundraising. You will receive a Grief Encounter beanie hat, and a pack of Forget-Me-Not seeds to plant in memory of your special person.
Share your fundraising with friends and family, and ask for a small donation to support bereaved children and young people. Every penny will go directly to funding our life-changing support services.
Why take part? 127 children experience the death of parent or sibling every day in the UK. If just 500 people across the UK walk to remember, raising £100 each, it will enable us to support 500 children via 1:1 counselling from a qualified Grief Encounter counsellor. Every penny will make a direct impact to a bereaved child’s life.
Memory making is such an important process for grieving children and young people, and we hope that our Forget-Me-Not walk will help families spend time remembering, together.
