The Grief Encounter 15th Anniversary Gala Dinner
On Monday 18th March, we held our 15th Anniversary Gala Dinner in London, at the prestigious Roundhouse.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended. The atmosphere and generosity in the room surpassed all of our hopes of the evening. With over 850 guests, breathtaking entertainment, inspiring speeches, mouth watering food and more, we couldn’t be prouder to say we raised an amazing amount of money to fund services for bereaved children.

Message from our CEO Richard Fogelman
“On behalf of myself and the team, I am delighted to tell you that your support on Monday night raised an astounding £1,300,000, every penny of which is vital to enable us to carry on making a difference to bereaved children.Thank you!

As you heard from our Founding Patron, our Founder and our service users, the demand only continues to grow; the Gala Dinner is an essential fundraiser for us, held to raise much needed funds to ensure that we continue to access many more bereaved families, who so desperately need our services. We can’t thank you enough for your support, generosity and dedication to Grief Encounter.”

Founding Patron Kevin Wells delivered an incredibly emotional and moving speech about Grief Encounter, and what his experiences have meant to his family following the death of his daughter Holly. We want to thank Kevin for his unwavering support.

Service user Daliah Epstein provided an insight into what life means to her with Grief Encounter in it, following the death of her husband and sister in the last two years. We cannot thank Daliah enough for speaking, and supporting us with such passion and bravery.

Huge thanks to our sensational hosts Olivia Wayne and Jeff Brazier, and the incredible Beverley Knight for entertaining our guests so brilliantly. They have all donated their time to us, in support of Grief Encounter. We cannot thank them enough!

Our sensational Children’s Choir wowed the audience with their live rendition of Katherine Jenkins’ ‘Jealous of the Angel’s’. Aged from 5 – 12, these children are the real faces of Grief Encounter, and your generosity will benefit them and their experience of grief.

Message from Dr Shelley Gilbert, MBE, Founder and Lifetime President.
“I can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity – it was overwhelming. Thank you to those who have helped me to turn the deep hurt and sadness of my own personal experience of loss into helping children and young people struggling with grief.”

With huge thanks to our sponsors for making the evening possible:
