We are thrilled to announce Suzy Turner Jones, previously Director of Clinical Services, as our new Chief Executive, effective immediately.

Suzy, who joined the charity in January 2022, brings to Grief Encounter a wealth of experience, with over 25 years in not for profit and statutory Children’s Services focussing on vulnerable children and marginalised communities. After serving as the Director of Clinical Services since joining the charity, Suzy is now taking on the role of Chief Executive.

“I am honoured and privileged to take on the role of CEO at Grief Encounter,” said Suzy. “I am committed to upholding the organization’s mission of providing bereavement support services to those who need them most, and I’m excited to work alongside such a dedicated, passionate, and talented staff, continuing to offer comfort to children and families who are grieving.”

The new appointment comes at a time when more families across the UK are in need for professional bereavement support. In response, Grief Encounter continues to expand its services to reach more children and young people across the country.
