Lou Scott, former Head of Fundraising for Grief Encounter, has been promoted to Director of Fundraising, and Deputy CEO after 5 years in the role, effective immediately.
Lou has been an integral part of the Grief Encounter team for several years, supporting the charity’s financial growth, building strong relationships with our supporters, and helping to ensure the organisations long-term sustainability through her exceptional, strategic fundraising abilities. “I am incredibly grateful that, in addition to my responsibility of leading fundraising at Grief Encounter, that I will also work closely with Suzy to further contribute to our mission of supporting those affected by grief. I am excited to continue to build upon our successes and thank my dedicated team whose continued hard work and commitment enable us to confidently plan the positive impact we can bring to the lives of so many families and individuals.”
Suzy Turner-Jones, CEO, comments “Lou’s dedication and hard work has contributed significantly to the success of the charity’s fundraising campaigns, allowing us to expand our service offering and reach even more children and young people affected by grief. As she takes on this new role, I look forward to her continued contributions, which will be significant in ensuring we are able to provide continued help and support to those who need it.”
The new appointment comes at a time when more families across the UK are in need for professional bereavement support. In response, Grief Encounter continues to expand its services to reach more children and young people across the country.
