Listen to Gloucester cricketer, Tom Smith, chatting with Claire Cavanaugh on BBC Radio Bristol launching the Grief Encounter South West Christmas fundraising campaign to raise £10,000 over the festive period.

“Grief Encounter has been a huge part of my families life, after Laura died 3 years ago I didn’t know which way to turn. My eldest daughter was struggling at school trying to deal with losing her mum, but Rosie had 12 months of play therapy with Grief Encounter South West and its made a huge impact on our lives. Grief is so isolating, but realising there are other families out there in a similar position has been hugely important and instrumental in helping me deal with my grief.”

Donate here and help Grief Encounter South West this festive season, to raise £10,000 to support children and families in and around the South West affected by bereavement. This money will enable them to provide professional therapy sessions and other vital support services to those in need.
