We asked some young bereaved people what they wanted from this website. The death of someone special, especially a parent or brother and sister had changed their lives forever. Not all bad, but some very difficult stuff to deal with. They wanted to feel less alone, to feel more normal and to make some meaning out of what has happened to them.
Their homes felt different now, often sad and there was a BIG empty space. Friends were good and bad. But, worst of all, other people’s lives seemed to go back to normal but yours is VERY different.
As kids, there are things we have to do to get through this: make sure we are heard and understood by the adults around us.Its not a great place to be, but we can come through this stronger and a better person.
So… lets create a community and hear from bereaved kids. Feel free to play in the games area. Send us your story, blog and send us your thoughts and feelings on other kids stories.
Rant and rave!
