Walk in memory of a loved one

On Sunday 17th March 2024, the Grief Encounter Forget-Me-Not Walk will take place. Join hundreds of people up and down the country and walk in memory of a loved one, to raise funds for bereaved children, young people and their families.

Walk, wheel or scoot in memory of someone close, whilst raising funds to make sure no child is left to grieve alone

Register your interest to take part in the Forget-Me-Not Walk on 17th March 2024 to walk in memory of a loved one and help to provide essential emotional support for a grieving child or young person, following the death of someone close. We will send you an event pack and help you maximise your fundraising efforts.

  • Walk on your own, with your household or friends and don’t forget to include the dog!
  • If your work colleagues fancy joining in too, why not arrange a team walk during your lunch break on Sunday 17th March?
  • Raise funds in memory of your loved one, by creating a forget-me-not walk JustGiving page with no minimum fundraising target.

After the death of someone close, like a parent or a sibling, memories become more important to us all, especially children.
Self care in bereavement
Maintaining routine, including everyday things like diet, exercise and socialising can help people process their grief.

could contribute towards a full grieftalk session on our national, confidential helpline, offering immediate listening and advice for those suffering grief

could contribute towards five grief workbooks sent to bereaved children or young people, giving them a structured way to process their grief
