COVID-19

The Coronovirus pandemic has resulted in an increased need for bereavement support amongst children and young people.

Grief Encounter covid-19

Bereavement during this time can increase feelings of loneliness and isolation – especially if the death was sudden and unexpected.

Grief Encounter can help if you, your children or someone you know has been bereaved as a result of Covid-19.

Some of the services we offer include:

  • Phone, email and web-chat support via our grieftalk freephone national helpline
  • 1:1 counselling services
  • Facilitated group support
  • Advice and information – including information and a guide to help you, or someone bereaved through Covid-19
  • Training for schools, corporates, organisations and services
  • Signposting to additional services that may be able to help you in other ways
  • Support for NHS front-line and emergency services affected personally, or professionally by the pandemic
  • Opportunities to meet other bereaved individuals and families

We know that reaching out for support can be daunting.  Support is available to you, when the time is right, to help make sense of the complex emotions following the death of a loved one.
