Meet Jodie, one of our very special Young Ambassadors, who experienced the death of her Dad, Alan, when she was only 9 years old.
During the 1 Million Minutes campaign on Good Morning Britain, Jodie spoke of her experiences and gave advise to other children and young people suffering the death of a loved one.
She has been part of the Grief Encounter family for over 15 years, first receiving support alongside her family after Alan’s death, and now volunteering for us as she trains to become a play therapist herself.
Without amazing people like Jodie, we couldn’t do what we do every day, to help support children and young people navigate their way through grief, and out of the isolation and loneliness it can cause.
