WELCOME TO GRIEF ENCOUNTER SOUTH WEST
Meet the team and find out more about our services
Grief Encounter South WestOne child in every UK classroom will experience the death of someone close by the time they reach 16 years old. Grief Encounter is here to help with the confusion, fear, loneliness and pain, providing a lifeline to children and young people to cope with free, immediate, one-to-one support.
“I cannot thank Grief Encounter South West enough for all of their support after my wife Laura died of cancer leaving me with two young daughters. At that time, mine and the children’s worlds were crumbling around us. Rosie, my eldest, had a year of therapy, the sessions not only supported Rosie, but allowed me to spend time talking to other families in similar positions, allowing me a safe space to discuss my fears and worries too. Rosie is doing great, she is now able to stand up in class and hold conversations around bereavement and discuss happy memories about her mummy.”
